A fire was reported near Dubai International Airport after a drone-related incident impacted one of the airport area’s fuel tanks, the Dubai Media Office said in an update early Tuesday.

According to the statement, the incident led to a blaze near the airport. Emergency response teams from civil defence moved in to contain the situation and later brought the fire under control.

Authorities reported that there were no injuries.

The update comes as regional attention remains focused on security incidents involving drones and critical infrastructure. The Dubai Media Office described the event as a drone incident and said the fuel tank was affected.
