President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the creation of an inter-agency committee to handle the Philippines’ preparations for Green Expo 2027 in Japan, Malacañang said.

The new body has been set up to coordinate government work linked to the country’s participation in the international exposition scheduled for 2027. The committee is expected to bring together relevant agencies to plan and manage activities tied to the event.

According to the announcement from the presidential office, the formation of the panel is intended to ensure an organised approach to the Philippines’ involvement in the expo, including coordination among departments that will contribute to the country’s presence at the venue.

Green Expo 2027 is set to be hosted in Japan and will include participation from different countries. The Philippines’ preparations will be carried out under the direction of the inter-agency committee created by the President.

Malacañang’s statement focused on the establishment of the committee and its role in overseeing preparations and inter-government coordination for the expo.
